II am an enthusiastic admirer of architecture
through out the ages. I have lived in or owned homes from
1780-1971. I spent my youth in West Hartford and came
to the Mansfield Storrs area in the 60’s. East of
the river has been my chosen home and has encompassed
Manchester, Talcottville Coventry and Willimantic.
I am very active in the Willimantic
Victorian Neighborhood Association, this year being
of the Sponsorship Committee involved in the June Victorian
Willimantic Home Tour. My love of Victoriana started in
the late 70’s when I opened a stained glass business
on Main Street. I have since maintained that as a custom
operation known as The Willimantic Art Glass Studio.
My profession changed in the 80’s
and I spent 3 years working with the elderly and doing
course work in Gerontology. Life changed and I moved onto
a career in Banking. For 18 years in Banking I spent 15
of those in support of technology, the last 5 as a Technical
Manger for Voice Data and Infrastructure. Working with
people and customer support has been my forte for many
years. I enjoy seeing people meet their goals.
I am eager to work with Buyers and Sellers
in hopes that my knowledge in Technology, Architecture
and customer service experience enables them to make the
real estate process an enjoyable venture.
I just recently achieved a standing
with the Connecticut
Trust for Historic Preservation as a Trained REALTOR
and I can be found on their web site. Another good place
to visit on the web is the National
Trust for Historic Preservation. I also have trained
in the transition into the life of Seniors citizens by
taking a class on the “Baby Boomers” move
into aging. Having a boomer for a child and on the cusp
of one myself, I can see first hand the changes in life
style and the focus in what lays ahead.
I am a mother of three daughters and
a son and have three grandsons and two grand daughters.
I am also a collector of all vintage glass and furniture
and have a passion for Bungalows.
I have a total commitment to the change
in direction of the town I live in, and am looking forward
to it’s planned changes.
